About Us

Our patient-centered and clinically driven laboratory is focused on improving surgical outcomes and quality of life care for patients with primary and metastatic brain and skull base tumors. Through quantitatively analyzing brain tumor registries and datasets, and through qualitatively developing novel patient-centered, disease-specific quality of life instruments, we strive to help patients, families, and providers identify the best personalized treatment plans for their medical needs.

Our health systems research is dedicated toward improving quality, reducing inequalities, and maximizing access to healthcare resources nationwide for patients with benign and malignant intracranial lesions.

In training the next generation of surgeons and health service researchers, our lab is committed to providing strong mentorship to students and trainees with a focus on the interface between public health, oncology, and neurosurgical sciences
